May 17, 2023- Construction begins next week!
Dear Neighbors, We are about to begin the construction phase of the Victoria Theatre Art Center project. This project has been a long-time coming and we wanted to provide you with a few highlights as construction begins on 5/22/23, starting with some interior demolition work. For as long as we are able, we'll be using the back alley to transport goods and materials in and out of the building. At some point, we'll need to start transporting goods and materials via University Ave, which will require lane closure. We will keep you informed well in advance of when this is expected to happen. The vacant lot to the east of the building between Demera Ethiopian Restaurant and Vatou Her State Farm Agency will b used for parking construction vehicles (i.e. trucks). This will be fenced off and locked on both the alley and University Ave sides. A small portion (one-ninth) of park directly west of the building will be used as a staging area for construction crews. This will be fenced off and locked. |
